One thing I love about photography is developing relationships/friendships with fellow photogs. It's even sweeter when they trust you to capture special moments in their life! Let me introduce you to Amanda of Southern Rivers Photography. She and I have been great photog friends for a while now and I was honored when she came to me and asked if I could do her maternity pictures! Amanda and her husband were blessed with a first round IVF pregnancy. Not to say that it wasn't easy, they had quite the journey with this IVF treatment. I am so excited for Amanda and Steven! And I so cannot wait to meet Baby Emerson! (Hoping I will be able to make it to the hospital to capture the birth!!) Amanda you are BEAUTIFUL and I am so very thankful for your friendship<3

So remember that post when I promised to start blogging more... Yea, I have kinda been failing in that department :( Life got kinda crazy there for a little bit. Kids got sick, had them in and out of the local ERs a few times trying to figure out why they both were spiking fevers of 102+. No fun at all. I am so very thankful that my sister has been here to help me though it all. It is SO nice having family here with me again... I forgot, wait no I have always known how much I missed having family here!

Well, in between the kids getting sick I was able to squeeze in a few session in :) And once again, here is one of those blogs with just a tease of what's to come in the coming weeks!

There was Amanda of Southern Rivers Photography that asked me to capture her maternity session!! I love it when fellow photog friends trust me enough to capture moments in their life!



Then there was the birth of sweet baby Tessa! This was my FIRST birth session and I am HOOKED and I am now offering birth sessions, so if this is something you might be intrested in doing PLEASE contact me today!!



And finally I was able to do some pics for my own family for our Christmas cards this year (yes I know I am slightly behind, refer to first paragraphy-haha).
*side note, please excuse my littlest one, he was fully up to par for pictures and this is his OMG MOM I DON'T FEEL GOOD, COULD YOU HURRY face lol

Before I get started on showing you this BEAUTIFUL maternity session I just want to say one thing ... I LOVE RETURN CLIENTS! I mean really, you get to watch families expand, children grow up & really these clients quickly become some of your closest friends. This is the THIRD session I have done with the Garnto Family in the two years that we have been living here in Central Georgia and I am SO blessed to know this family. (*i actually got to help welcome sweet baby tessa into the world by capturing her birth, be on the look out for that blog post in the coming weeks*)

Ashley - You are SUCH a beautiful person from the inside out! You and Derick are such amazing people and I am SO blessed to be able to call you my friends. Brennon and Tessa defiantly got the luck of the draw to have you two as their parents. Thank you so very much for letting me capture SO many precious moments in your life.

Yep, it's official... I am in LOVE with my job again!! I had THE MOST AMAZING maternity session yesterday! I could not have asked for a better session. I just wanted to share one of the amazing images form Ashley's Maternity session. There will be a full blog post once I am done editing their session, but I just could not wait to share this one with y'all.

Baby Tessa is going to be so loved and welcomed into this beautiful family. She is one blessed little girl and she doesn't even know it yet!

Pinterest Picks | Week 1

Have you ever been online surfing the internet, come across something either 1) inspires you 2) you want to save and read later or 3) makes you think "__soandso__ would love that"... etc. only to put it in your millions of bookmarks and then either 1) forget about it or 2) it gets lost in the millions of bookmarks, you search and search, only to finally just give up...

Well let me tell you about my (not so)new little friend called Pinterest! Now, if you have never heard about it I have one question for you ... "HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK?" ... I'm kidding, maybe... Anyways -- Pinterest has solved your "I need to remember where I saw that" issue that (if you are anything like me) we have.

You see you just go to Pinterest, ask for an invite (*ps if you need an invite let me know cause i have a few i can use), set up your account and "wallah!" you are now set up to pin your little heart out!!

I must say it is quite addicting. So be forewarned!!!

Well, since I am back up and running (YAY!) I have also decided that I really want to start blogging more. And not JUST about my amazing clients and their beautiful sessions ... I want to start sharing things... Letting you into my personal life (just a little bit)... Let you get to know me! So every Monday I will be doing "Pinterest Picks" where I post 5-8 things I found on Pinterest and want to share with you!

Miss Me? | Central Georgia Photographer

Hello ... Is any body out there? Yes I know it has been a very very very long time since I blogged, but in my defence ... Life got a little C R A Z Y! Let's see where do I start... I blew my knee out and wasn't able to fully gain full motion of it for a good... Four months! Oh and did I mention my husband left for deployment training when I was still out of commission?!? Yea, thank God for good friends! I had to have one move in with me for a few weeks to help me take care of the kids and the house! It was not the best time in my life to say the least... But you know what, I over came it and I am back to my old self again :) YAY!

I took a little bit of a break from photography. You know when you do something so much that it sucks the life out of you? Yea that's where I was there for a while. I am not going to lie, I wasn't enjoying photography any more. I lost my passion for it, and that KILLED me. So I took some time off, and slowly my passion came back. And now I REALLY REALLY REALLY miss it! So I am BACK and ready to get behind that camera again!!

Now don't get me wrong, I didn't fully give up on photography! I did a few sessions for friends here and there during my break and I must say, these sessions rekindled my love for photography! I am excited to start working again!!!

If you are reading this, thanks for waiting for my return. I know I let a lot of people down during my break and for that I am truly sorry! I just did not want to give potential clients work that was no where near what I know I can do when I am fully devoted to it. But I can promise you ... I am back and I am in love with photography again! So book me :) Put me to work and I promise I will not let you down!!

This week's challenge is Bright and Vivid and this image instantly popped into my head from Joelle & Mike's session. I just love love love how the blues from the background pop and they their AMAZING eyes! Seriously, I LOVE this picture!!!
