Deployments S-U-C-K ... Plain and simple they do. But you know what makes it all worth it? Homecomings. You go days, weeks, months without your loved one. Life goes one without them. Babies are born. Kids grow up. The car breaks down. The water heater breaks. Life goes on without stopping.

But seeing your loved one for the first time makes all those things disappear. In a moment, you life is perfect again. You loved one is home. Safe and sound. Life stops for a second and lets you enjoy this magical moment.

And that's just what happened for the Edmonds family.

Did deployment care when Kate went into labor with her second child? Nope. It kept going and she did it. She is one tough momma. So when she asked me to be there to capture Daddy meeting his new baby boy for the first time I was beyond thrilled. This is a moment they will never forget and I got to give them the images to look back on and remember this moment when time stood still and life stopped just for a moment.
