Today I got pushed. I got pushed outside of my creative box. And I loved every.single.moment of it. There is plenty more to come from this amazing day, but I just wanted to share a few sneak peeks of the magic that happened today when I met up with twelve other photographers, shot in the rain, and had the BEST day ever!

Brooke+Miguel | Yuba-Sutter Engagement Photographer

Brooke+Miguel met while in Costa Rica on Spring Break. They hit it off and made it work while Brooke was finishing up graduate school in California and Miguel was finishing at the Air Force Academy. They had a year and a half long distance relationship before they were able to live in the same place!

Miguel is originally from San Jose, CA. He went to the Air Force Academy and is now an MC-12 pilot here at Beale. His favorite thing other than his wife and his dogs, Eleanor and Piper, is his red Ford Shelby Mustang he named Ariel.

Brooke is originally from Denver, CO and went to the University of Colorado, Boulder. She is a physician assistant now working at an urgent care center in Roseville. They recently bought a new house in Lincoln and she is looking forward on using her artistic skills to decorate it.

They moved here from Vance AFB in Enid, OK last March and are thrilled to be in California. They had a small civil ceremony March 16 2013 and are planning a large wedding celebration for June 27 2014 after Miguel's first deployment.

I asked them to describe their relationship in one sentence and this is what Brooke said :: "We are all a little weird and life is a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love. -Dr. Seuss"

I loved working with Brooke+Miguel so much!! They had amazing personalities and you could just see the love that they had for one another all over their faces. I love photographing couples that are still head-over-heals for each other! Excuse the over post, but I am still so in love with the images from their session!

I am actually ashamed about how long it has been since I have blogged a session! The last time I blogged a full session was from waaaaaaay back in September, and somewhere along the way... I have forgotten about my beautiful blog! But I am here to tell you, I will be catching up! I have loads of super fun, beautiful sessions to share with you!!

I absolutely LOVE this family! They were one of my first clients to book me when I moved out here to California and I love that they keep coming back to work with me year after year. Shannon+Race have a BEAUTIFUL family and I know I can always count on a good time with lots of laughs when I see them.
