Day in the Life :: Jan. 13th | Yuba-Sutter Lifestyle Photographer

One of the big changes I want to make this year is to blog more personal things. So I am starting a sequence of blogs titled "Day in the Life" where I post daily life happenings from my personal life. I have realized I do not take my "big" camera out and capture my own children nearly enough. I want to capture our family in our everyday life. I want my children to be able to look back on these and see them living their lives as little people. No poses, just real, raw, life happening. I won't be doing this every single day. My goal is at least 2 to 3 times a week. I am really hoping I can keep this up and give my children some great memories to look back on :)

2014, This is MY Year | Yuba-Sutter Lifestyle Photographer

WOW. Does anyone else feel like you blinked and 2013 was over? Where did the time go? 2013 was one of the more challenging years of my life both professionally and personally. To say I was happy to see 2013 end would be an understatement. I love a new year. It's a fresh start. A blank page. It's a chance for you to look ahead and think "This is going to be MY year!" and that is exactly how I am thinking with this new year! I want this year to be Brooke Ashley Photography's BEST year! I want this to be Ainsley+Jayce's BEST year! I this to be Daniel+I's BEST year! I want this to be MY BEST year- one filled with energy and motivation, inspiration and hope! I honestly cannot wait to see how this year unfolds. I know it is only 12 days into 2014 but there are already some mighty big changes on the horizon and I am so beyond ready to tackle them and overcome them. This year will be good no matter what. I will make sure of it. Life has a funny way of showing us things that need to happen even at the most inconvenient time. And things NEED to happen this year. Things NEED to change. But as long as I have my loves, I know that no matter what comes our way we will be ready to take them on head first and will always have each other.

I have never done a "Goals" post, but hey- there's a first time for everything right? So here they are; my 2014 professional and personal goals for 2014! I hope these inspire you to make your own and go after them! Two-Thousand-Fourteen is MY year- but it can be YOUR year too!

Valentine's Day Boudoir Special

Okay ladies, it’s getting close to our favorite time of year. You know, the date that makes us think of decadent chocolates, toasting with champagne and being all uber-romantic with our man. February 14th… or as most guys call it – the worst holiday ever. We know they hate it, but this year, you can change that. Guys don’t like chocolates, flowers, or silly bears. Let’s face it, usually they don’t even GET gifts for Valentine’s Day. But what if you could give him a gift he’ll not only LOVE, but is guaranteed to remember FOREVER!!??!! Yes, please.

Boudoir, baby. Boudoir. It’s not half as bad as it sounds. It’s actually loads of fun. You will look AMAZING. And it’s not about being the Victoria Secret supermodel type, it’s about embracing your womanhood, no matter your age, size, shape, anything. YOU ARE SEXY. Flaunt it. He’ll love it and maybe, just maybe, Valentine’s day will become his favorite holiday too!
