2015 Year in Review | Savannah Georgia Photographer

Man 2015 was such a good year for Brooke Ashley Photography! I am not going to lie, I really thought I was going to crash and burn here in Savannah with all the other crazy talented, well established photographers here -- but Savannah has welcomed me with open arms and I feel so good going into 2016!!

We shot some pretty beautiful clients this year! 41 session on the books in total (with the possibility of 42 if a little Miss Savannah decides to come this year!) I feel so so blessed to have meet and worked with all my amazing clients this year. Some of you I saw MULTIPLE times!

Thank you so much to each of you. This "job" would not be possible without any of you. There is lots of tears -- happy and sad -- that were shed this year. It was a very challenging year for me; but 2016 is already shaping up to be a GOOD one and I cannot wait to see what else is in store for BAP!

Here is an image from each session and wedding I shot this year! See ya in 2016!

Weekend Musings | Savannah Georgia Photographer

Happy Monday guys!! I hope you truly enjoyed your weekend time. And now here we are at the start of a fresh new week :) Anyone else on their 3rd cup of coffee at noon or is it just me >.<?!

This weekend was full of sessions for me :) I love a good weekend spent behind the camera capturing beautiful people.

Saturday I spend the early evening with the Hitch Family on Tybee Island. We had so much fun together and I truly am so head over heals for their session! I posted a sneak peek blog post >>HERE<< but here is one of my personal favorites from the session. It was also chosen as one of Beyond the Wanderlust's Daily Fan Favorites!!
On Sunday I had the pleasure of capturing my October bride Whitney's beautiful bridals! We venture out to one of my dream locations; Old Sheldon Church Ruins. Guys this place is just BEYOND beautiful! I am so happy that Whitney chose this location for her bridals and I so cannot wait to share the images -- thankfully we don't have to wait long since she gets married in less than a month! But what I can share for you is the GORGEOUS bouquet that Azalea Ann's Floral Designs created for us. I cannot say enough good things about the owner Rebecca! Not only is she crazy talented she is also one of the sweetest souls I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and I truly cannot wait to have a reason to use her again!

And for a little inspiration to get your week started right I leave you with this ::

"Life is like the ocean. It can be calm or still, and rough or rigid, but in the end it's always beautiful"
Go out there and make some waves this week guys. xo

Ainsley Scot turns 8 | Savannah Georgia Photographer

Today we celebrated our beautiful baby girl turning eight years old. I honestly look at her sometimes and think to myself "where has the time gone?" I mean I feel like I blinked and suddenly I had this young lady transform from a sweet cuddly newborn overnight!

I am sure I will do a full share of images from this day once I have edited them, but here is just one that I loved so much. Her closing her eyes -- making her wish -- and blowing out her candles. I hope that whatever she wished for comes true in some way. I hope that she always dreams and wishes big!

Ainsley Scot -- we love you so very much beautiful girl. You are our world. You show us every single day what true love really is. I hope you always know that we will love you no matter what and will support you always. Keep dreaming little one, I know someday you will do great things!

Finding My Blogging Voice... | Savannah Georgia Photographer

......check, check...testing..... hello, is anyone out there?

I have a confession to make. I really really suck at blogging. And it's not so much getting images on this blog for people to see it; it's more the writing. I, Brooke Ashley, suck at writing blog posts.

BUT this is all about to change, or more so... I am going to work really hard to make changes and post more and better blogs! And here is where I start. By confessing to all of you that I have let me readers down.
(if there are any of you out there - Thank you!)
I am going to get myself on a blogging schedule. I of course will be posting all of my beautiful sessions and weddings; but there will also be a more personal touch where I blog about my life as a Momma and Wife! There will be pictures and stories of my kiddos and dog. There will be pictures and stories of beautiful sunsets, unique things that I find around my beautiful city, and my crazy chaotic life. I may even go deep sometimes and talk about the not so pretty side of life. But I want to have my readers, my clients, my brides get a real sense of who I am.

Yes I am a photographer. But I am so much more!

Day in the Life :: Jan. 13th | Yuba-Sutter Lifestyle Photographer

One of the big changes I want to make this year is to blog more personal things. So I am starting a sequence of blogs titled "Day in the Life" where I post daily life happenings from my personal life. I have realized I do not take my "big" camera out and capture my own children nearly enough. I want to capture our family in our everyday life. I want my children to be able to look back on these and see them living their lives as little people. No poses, just real, raw, life happening. I won't be doing this every single day. My goal is at least 2 to 3 times a week. I am really hoping I can keep this up and give my children some great memories to look back on :)
