Whitney+Kienan Engagement Sneak | Savannah Georgia Photographer

I have been looking forward to this engagement session for almost a year now! When I first moved to Savannah, Whitney was one of my very first booking clients -- her fiancé was deployed and I told her how I am an active photographer for Welcome them Home and she told me that she needed a wedding photographer! A few weeks later a client meeting turned into us talking for 3+ hours and basically getting kicked out of a restaurant bc they were closing (ooops!). 

I have loved getting to know Whitney and I am so thankful I was able to capture her homecoming and now engagement pictures! And I cannot wait to capture her bridal session and wedding in the coming months!!!

Davis Wedding Teasers | Savannah Georgia Photographer

I just realized  I never posted a teaser post of images from Brittany+Brandon's 4th of July Wedding! This was a destination wedding for me! I traveled from Savannah, GA to New Castle, PA -- talk about feeling awesome that my clients liked me and my work enough to bring me that far! It was so special for me!

I loved this wedding so very much for many reasons. Brittany is my younger sister's BFF; she was in my sister's wedding back in 2013 and told me then "I want you to be my wedding photographer" -- fast forward 2 years later and there I was capturing her beautiful day!!

Bryant Gender Reveal Sneak | Savannah Georgia Photographer

This evening I had the absolute pleasure of helping one of my favorite BAP Clients announce the gender of the baby! There are some clients that I just make a strong connection with and Emily+Steven are one of them for me. I love how sweet they are and I love their love for each other.

I also made sure to take a few images of  Emily in her early stage of this pregnancy; she is truly radiant and pregnancy totally suits her so well!

Now for the important part --- IT'S A GIRL! I am so excited and cannot wait to meet this little Miss!

Emerson :: 3 Month Sneak | Savannah Georgia Photographer

Over the weekend my sister and her family were in town to help celebrate Ainsley's birthday and I knew I had to get my adorable chunky ginger nephew in front of my camera! He is 3 months old and built like a linebacker! I seriously cannot get over his adorable rolls and he always gives me the biggest smiles!! (probably bc i am crazy and do ridiculous faces and noises, but that's what ya gotta do for the good smiles, am i right!?)

We also did a few breastfeeding images. My sister has totally rocked this whole 2nd mommy thing! (she aslo did 21hrs of ALL.FLIPPIN.NATURAL labor) I am really proud of her and how amazing she is doing with being a momma to two crazy boys! And I know she will always cherish these moments captured of her and Emerson bounding together.

Today we celebrated our beautiful baby girl turning eight years old. I honestly look at her sometimes and think to myself "where has the time gone?" I mean I feel like I blinked and suddenly I had this young lady transform from a sweet cuddly newborn overnight! 

I am sure I will do a full share of images from this day once I have edited them, but here is just one that I loved so much. Her closing her eyes -- making her wish -- and blowing out her candles. I hope that whatever she wished for comes true in some way. I hope that she always dreams and wishes big! 

Ainsley Scot -- we love you so very much beautiful girl. You are our world. You show us every single day what true love really is. I hope you always know that we will love you no matter what and will support you always. Keep dreaming little one, I know someday you will do great things!

Finding My Blogging Voice... | Savannah Georgia Photographer

......check, check...testing..... hello, is anyone out there?

I have a confession to make. I really really suck at blogging. And it's not so much getting images on this blog for people to see it; it's more the writing. I, Brooke Ashley, suck at writing blog posts.

BUT this is all about to change, or more so... I am going to work really hard to make changes and post more and better blogs! And here is where I start. By confessing to all of you that I have let me readers down.

I am going to get myself on a blogging schedule. I of course will be posting all of my beautiful sessions and weddings; but there will also be a more personal touch where I blog about my life as a Momma and Wife! There will be pictures and stories of my kiddos and dog. There will be pictures and stories of beautiful sunsets, unique things that I find around my beautiful city, and my crazy chaotic life. I may even go deep sometimes and talk about the not so pretty side of life. But I want to have my readers, my clients, my brides get a real sense of who I am.

Yes I am a photographer. But I am so much more!
